Just to say Hello to all!
My name is Dimitris born March 12 1967 and I live in Piraeus Greece (the main port).
Railway modelling is the (indoor) hobby I enjoy the most and I focus on German landscape and rolling stock.
I visited Miniature Wunderland in March 2005 (No Alps or water then...)and I hope to come back soon as this is the reference point of our hobby!
For the last 8 years I am constructing a layout in DCC HO :the so called "Project Neustadt"
http://www.flickr.com/photos/my_layout_jimmyk/ .
Everything ( from metal work, wooden work, electronics and the layout itself done by the undersigned.)
I am really glad of being part of this forum,
Greetings from Greece,
Jimmy.k

The station building is almost ready.Only interior lighting, sound effects and details are missing. However the constuction timetable for this specific part of the layout is mid June 2010!
Thanks for looking, thanks for commenting!
Greetings from Greece!
Dimitris.

Thank you for your comments. Yes, each one of us has different hobbies,I believe -however- that railway modelling is one of the most integrated and requiring on the part of the modeller.
Thank's again for your time,
greetings from Greece,
Dimitris.

Good evening to all. The new addition to the "Project Neustadt" is the second city scene , that is installed just behind the industrial zone (according to plan) Next, all necessary connections were made and all lights were divided to zones so they can be driven by the computer (random, night and day etc). In the relevant photostream you can see the new module in place, some night shots with only the diorama lights on and some panoramic views. Here a small example: http://www.flickr.com/photos/my_layout_ ... 683103047/http://www.flickr.com/photos/my_layout_ ... 683751946/http://www.flickr.com/photos/my_layout_ ... 683114035/You can find much more on the photostream. There are so many things missing (Nature, details, overhead etc...) but step by step it starts to resemble to something like a train diorama! Good night to all! Dimitris.
