I am building a model railway and I wondered what materials your model makers use for scratch building buildings in the Wunderland.
Thanks from the USA

Hello,

besides polystyrene, some buildings are made from wood (e.g. stave church in Scandinavia) or stabil cardboard (e.g. main station in the layout Hamburg). If you look closely, you will find many details on buildings and structures made from everyday scratch materials, for example drinking straws for pipelines, wooden chair legs for chimneys, model train panthographs recycled as tops for power poles, candle holders as columns for statues, etc.

Use your imagination and have fun!
